Jones International University is a fully online university that specializes in offering relevant, career-focused degree programs for students of all ages. The school was founded by its current chancellor, Glenn R. Jones, who created the Mind Extension University television network in 1987. Thirty thousand students were able to take college courses by watching programs on this network. In 1999, Jones founded JIU.

Students can enter into education or business programs at JIU, earning a Master of Education, Doctorate of Education, Associate of ARts in Business Communication, MBA, Doctorate of Business Administration, and various certificates.
JIU was selected by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to design the UN’s Virtual Development Academy, which prepares managers to work with and consult for UNDP countries.
Student Life:
The Total Professional Advantage program provides career services to students during their time at JIU and after they graduate. The school also works with active duty military personnel, veterans and military families to award special benefits and design flexible programs.
Tuition:
Students in a certificate program will pay anywhere from $4500 to $8400, plus other fees. Tuition costs for other programs range, from $1290 to $2010 for three-credit courses.
